Annie P. is a leading Australian designer and purveyor of couture papers, wedding stationery, cards, wrapping paper, gifts and fabulous fripperies. Annie P. Paperie is more than a shop, it’s a love letter to the joys of paper, colour and design. Tucked away in a picturesque old corner store in Stirling Highway, Claremont, our ever-changing eye candy will surprise and delight you.
Our story began decades ago when owner Bob Poolman first indulged his passion for paper by opening a store that imported fine handmade papers for artists. Later the emphasis shifted to papers for wedding invitations, party invitations and other paper crafts, and the shop moved to the historic corner store in the Perth suburb of Claremont where it remains today.
Around this time, Bob had a brainwave. Why sell other designers’ papers when an atelier of local designers could create original papers with a real point of difference?
The Annie P. brand was born, named after one of our first designers – and it became the marque of both our papers and our shop.Our debut collection was a triumph, so Bob decided to take Annie P. national and international, setting up a paper trail from Perth to New York.
Today, the Annie P. story continues to evolve with a studio of fresh young graphic designers pushing the envelope with exclusive Annie P. collections for a discerning Australian and international clientele.
