With a professional background in education and psychology, I have spent the past 17 years working in the education sector with young people of all ages, parents, teachers and administrators in the Perth metro area and the far north of Western Australia. As one of Perth’s modern generation of younger celebrants, I brings a relaxed, fresh approach to your special day.
An experienced writer and public speaker, I have undertaken a course of study to become an authorised marriage celebrant. Warm, friendly and professional with a young family of my own, I bring genuine joy to your special day. I’m delighted to be able to share in one of the most exciting and memorable days in a couple’s life.

I offer a refreshing alternative to the ‘typical’ marriage celebrant. I understand that it’s important for your day to reflect your dreams. It’s all about creating your vision, and that is best done with an energetic and understanding celebrant.
As the youngest West Australian celebrant to be admitted to the ACMCV (Association of Civil Marriage Celebrants) and the only celebrant in Perth accredited by the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA) you have the assurance of dealing with a completely professional celebrant, who is still young enough to understand your needs.
My family has been involved in the wedding business for over two decades, and my father has been bringing couples together as a celebrant for almost ten years. I’ve watched, learnt and decided it’s time to offer Perth couples a younger option for their weddings and commitment ceremonies. As a contemporary marriage celebrant, my aim is to mirror the style of your day. After all, every aspect of your day has been hand picked to maintain a style and theme that you as a couple wish to portray. Shouldn’t your celebrant also fit that style?
Most importantly, I do not make ‘back-to-back’ bookings on the day of your wedding. Why is this important? I have seen from personal experience that even the best laid plans sometimes experience minor holdups. Traffic delays, makeup touch-ups or even just nerves can delay proceedings. This is to be expected.
I assure you that I will not be rushing you through your ceremony to get to my next booking, nor arriving late to your ceremony from an earlier wedding. Your day should be a relaxed affair with all the time in the world to accommodate any intervals, and the least I can do is guarantee you that your wedding day will not be interrupted with these concerns.
Though based in Perth, I also conduct ceremonies in Bali and throughout WA.

Any ceremony is a personal and intimate moment. To be a part of these moments is an honour and a fantastic experience for me. I got into celebrancy because I hoped to solemnise at a family wedding. While researching the “how to’s” of becoming a celebrant I discovered an enriching and brilliant career. I have been authorised by the Attorney General’s Department, allowing me to officiate at weddings. To be authorised these days a celebrant must have completed a certain amount of study to ensure they can provide a comprehensive service.
This means you get more choice of ceremony and individuality, enriching your day. I am always developing my skills and researching to be able to provide clients with access to resources such as readings and example ceremonial options. Previous experience in writing and communication help me to ensure my work is of a high standard. I am happy if it is more convenient, to visit clients at their homes or cafes close to their work.

My name is Esther Bliss and I have been involved in planning and organising weddings for over 5 years and the hospitality industry for the last 15 years.
I love planning wedding ceremonies and so invite you to allow me to organise a wedding ceremony that suits both your personalities and styles whether it be relaxed and informal, perhaps romantic and symbolic or fun and outrageous.
I have extensive public speaking experience and a wicked sense of humour which are both useful when dealing with large groups of people.
I can dress both traditionally and to suit your needs and am very willing to help plan weddings ceremonies which may be a little unusual and different both in style and location.
